Welcome to The Barnby Choir.

We are a friendly mixed voice choir with around 70 members. We are based in Wilmslow, Cheshire, in the South Manchester area of the UK. Our conductor is Peter Stallworthy. The choir is affiliated to Making Music, formerly known as the National Federation of Music Societies.

If you have ever longed to find out whether you would enjoy performing the inspiring music of Bach, Mozart, Handel and company, now is your chance. Come to our first four free taster sessions at the Wilmslow Methodist church at 8pm on Tuesdays 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th September 2011. You will receive a warm welcome and perhaps discover a hobby which you can enjoy throughout life wherever you go. The Barnby Choir was founded by Canon Bertie Barnby in 1945 for the enjoyment of making music and that is still very much our mission today. We rehearse every Tuesday evening (September to May) from 8.00pm - 10.00pm at Wilmslow Methodist Church.
